Spiritual ascension, life’s purpose, soul plan

I participate in a group that meets once a month.  This last meeting some members were saying that nothing in the physical realm really matters from a spiritual perspective.  That didn’t feel right to me.

I thought about it and realized that ever since my son, Shawheen died and started talking to me, he’s been expressing that my grief work helps him ascend spiritually.

From him, I get that there is some kind of spiritual learning process.  There is a process of ascension done in the spirit world, ascending to a higher vibration.  This is a higher level than spirit form already is.  They move through this ascension to a higher understanding of the All That Is.

The work we do here on Earth, on the physical plane, gaining understanding of purpose, love, and the All One, helps us at the spiritual level as well.  Shawheen tells me he is now one of my guides.  He says he is there to help me.  He clarifies that by supporting and guiding me, and observing my grief process, I am helping him ascend as well.  Watching me move through my grief process to love helps him, in addition to helping me, to ascend.

This feels important for all of us.  It clarifies that our work on Earth has meaning and purpose.  Why else would we come?  It isn’t as if life on Earth is a walk in the park!!  I mean, think about it!  We choose to incarnate, knowing full well that we are going to be born with amnesia about the spirit world.  We are not going to remember where we come from.  Through this difficult physical life, we are going to have to learn to re-member, remember the spirit world.  It’s certainly a lot easier to have faith in something of which we remember being a part.  Yet remembering is hard because we start with amnesia.  That brings us back to faith!! It also emphasizes the obvious:  why come here to suffer if it isn’t going to help us ascend?  So clearly there is a purpose to this physicality.
